Nugget was my 10 year old yellow lab. Throughout most of her life she suffered for severe allergies, the past few years had been very
difficult for her. She was in a great deal of pain, so we decided it was for the best.
Nugget was our family's first dog. She was my dog. I got to pick her name and everything. Its hard to believe that 10 years have already passed, it seems like she was only a puppy yesterday.
I miss her greatly. Its extremely difficult being away at school and not being able to be with my family. She was a wonderful part of my family, and it doesn't seem possible to sum up what she meant to me or my family. It almost doesn't seem real, yet.
I'm so sorry Zane. We put our golden retriever, Bruno to sleep last year and it was really hard for me too. He was the only dog we'd ever had and he was essentially just a big lump of love. I'm sure you'll miss your pup, and when you do, just remember what a good life she had and how much she loved you. Dogs are amazing like that...unconditional love. I wish people would take a page from their books.
